Standby Equipment
To reduce downtime, when a critical component fails (be it a router, server or workstations), we will provide loan equipment while the affected unit is being replaced (we stock all critical components of your network, even if they are under warranty).
We aim to implement standard equipment across our client base from leading and reliable manufactures. This enables us to keep stock of the majority of the equipment we install. Keeping stock enables us to provide you with loan equipment in case of an emergency.
For example: If your server was to experience a major system crash due to a hardware failure, we would be onsite within your designated response time with temporary server hardware. This would allow us to proceed with getting the server up as quickly as possible, without having to wait for replacement parts to be sourced. We offer the same for all equipment failures such as routers, switches and even computers.
24 X 7 Monitoring and Alerts
Our 24x7 Network and Computer Monitoring Software give us the ability to monitor what is going on with your network in real-time. It means we can be proactive on stopping or eliminating problems before they occur, thus reducing the risk of downtime.
We are instantly notified if your server goes down, a user alters their configuration, disk space reaches a certain level, or even when a possible security threat occurs.
Additionally, with automatic alert escalation capabilities, we can ensure that no alerts are missed and that the appropriate action is taken in a timely fashion.
We monitor the IT basics such as memory and CPU utilization, failed backups, out of date anti-virus definitions, errors in events logs, in addition we can even record items such as your broadband bandwidth usage.
Depending on your requirements, we can monitor everything from a single critical server to all components on your network.
Preventative Maintenance
Preventive maintenance is a schedule of automated tasks that allow us to keep your computers running at optimal performance, to help prevent failures and to enhance system reliability.
Our system can complete tasks such as running disk defrags, emptying the temporary internet files folders, running anti-virus scans, and clearing down quarantine areas. All of these are completed out of hours so as not to impact your users’ working day. With the flexibility of our system we can create scripts to complete virtually any task that will help us improve the performance of your systems.
Long-term effects and cost comparisons usually favour preventive maintenance over performing maintenance actions only when the system fails.
Domain Management
Should you host your domains with us, all administration tasks are covered, from registering a new domain, updating whois details to modifying DNS records.
Broadband Access
Our Business Broadband services provide a range of quality yet cost-effective Internet connectivity options for businesses of all sizes. Our portfolio consists of various types of broadband; ADSL, ADSL Max, ADSL2+ and SDSL, with speeds of up to 24Mb.
In order to provide you with the best possible response times it is recommended that you host your broadband connection with us as it will dramatically reduce troubleshooting times if and when problems occur. We monitor all our client connections and have access to the same testing tools that BT provides to their helpdesk. Thus we can reduce the time it takes to find a fault as we don’t have to rely on BT for basic fault finding (we’ve all spent time on the phone to BT!). It will also allow us to monitor the performance of the connection, something we can’t achieve if the connection is with another provider.
Domain Hosting
We can provide domain hosting and registration services for all your required domains.
Domains hosted on our platforms are monitored and with full access trouble shooting times are reduced if and when problems occur. Domains hosted with us are also provided with full email hosting. If there is a problem with your local email server, we can provide a temporary backup solution so that you can still send and receive emails while the server is being repaired.
If your domain is not hosted with us, we will work with your hosting provider, as and when required, to ensure your domain is always available.
